1.0 Mission
Celebrate Minnesota’s rich musical heritage at an annual riverfront festival for music lovers of all
passions and backgrounds.

2.0 History
The first RiverSong festival launched in 2009. It was the brainchild of a small group of graduates of the
Community Area Leadership Program funded by the Blandin Foundation in 2006. The organization was
formed in 2007 and is currently operating as a non-profit organization with their own 501(c) (3) non-profit
status. Seeing an opportunity to leverage Hutchinson’s natural, historic and artistic resources, the group
formed an action committee and recruited dozens of volunteers who wanted to expand Hutchinson’s
growing reputation as an arts destination. RiverSong is currently a member group of the Hutchinson Center
for the Arts .
