Join us July 30-31, 2010 for the second annual RiverSong Folk Music Festival in Hutchinson, Minnesota! Enjoy live music by artists from all over the Midwest at our scenic river’s edge location in Masonic/ West River Park! You can not only experience fabulous music, you can check out talented storytellers, enjoy great food and beverages, take in the work of area artisans, and relax in a natural atmosphere.

What is Grassroots Music? Sounds that capture the essence of humanity and stories of life through a variety of rhythms and instruments. Grassroots music is strongly influenced by community and culture and includes such styles as folk, bluegrass, blues, Americana, and Indie music.

RiverSong is made possible in part by a grant from the Southwest Minnesota Arts & Humanities Council (SMAHC) with funding from the Minnesota State Legislature, the McKnight Foundation and contributors to the Southwest Minnesota Arts & Humanities Council. Grant funding for RiverSong has also been provided by the I.J. Burich Foundation, 3M, and the Stearns Foundation.

Wednesday, July 28th is the last day to purchase discounted advance sale tickets for the RiverSong weekend! Tickets are available online or at the Hutchinson Chamber CVB office. After today, tickets will only be available at the gate. See you this weekend!

Big Coffee House Music Competition

You can compete for an performance slot at RiverSong 2010!

Crow River Arts is joining with RiverSong Music Festival to present a music contest as part of the RiverSong Music Festival activities.  The music contest will take place on July 22, 2010 at 7:00pm. The event will be held at the McLeod County Fairgrounds. The event is open to the public.

The contest winner will perform as an opener to our headliner Chris Koza & Rogue Valley at the RiverSong music Festival on July 31, 2010.  The music performed at the contest should fit within the genre of Folk, Bluegrass, Americana, or Blues.  Applications  must be received by July 9, 2010.
