Volunteer Positions and Tasks

Welcome Gate/Main Entrance

Direct guests, volunteers, and musicians to respective parking/unloading areas; answer questions related to festival and camping; inform stage managers and fence patrol of incoming musician or service vehicles
Requirements: Must be at least 16 years old; quick thinker and good communication skills

Parking/Traffic Control

Direct traffic in and out of parking lot; direct designated parking for vendors, artists, and handicap
Requirements: Must be at least 16 years old

Ticket Sales

Process tickets for entry into the festival; includes cash, check, credit transactions, pre-paid tickets, volunteer & vendor passes, and camping arrangements; minimum of 5 ticket gate volunteers on staff at any given time; may check in bikes to bike corral
Requirements: Prior usage of credit card machine, good math skills, quick thinker

ID Check

Check guest photo ID’s and put on wrist bands which must be worn during festival in order to purchase alcohol.
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old

Bag Check

Check guest’s bags, bag chairs, ask guests to leave food/beverages in vehicles
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old, assertive

Vendor/Volunteer Check-In

Responsible for assisting volunteers in locating shift locations and times, answer vendor and musician questions about festival; check-in musician equipment and instruments
Requirements: good communication skills

Alcohol Ticket Sales

Sell tickets to purchase alcohol else where on the grounds; verify each person purchasing tickets has an “alcohol band”
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old

Beer/Wine Booth

Verify purchaser has alcohol band; collect appropriate # of tickets for beverage; pour and serve beer/wine
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old

Hydration station

Assist guests with filling water bottles
Requirements: Must be at least 16 years old

CD, T-shirt, Water Bottle Sales

Sell artist’s CDs, festival t-shirts & water bottles; track CD sales on spreadsheet
Requirements: Prior usage of credit card machine, good math skills, quick thinker

Fence Security

Monitor festival fence line to prevent jumping over or passing alcohol in or out of festival; provide assistance in preventing alcohol served/shared with minors
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years & assertive
