Saturday, July 31
1:00 pm – “Fun, Hip Hop Music for Kids” with Magic Mama from Minneapolis
Entertainer Magic Mama will perform hip hop and world beats for the whole family. Through her music, Magic Mama delivers an empowering and hope-filled message of love and respect for all and inspires creative thinking and Earth-friendly actions. Her show includes an energetic stage design, lively music, and fun, participatory opportunities
2:30 pm – “Cool Latin Sounds” with Stearns County Pachanga Society from St. Cloud
The SCPS will teach you about the instruments that create the Latin Sounds. As their fans say “Pachanga Society is the best shared rhythmic-experience you can have in public!”
3:30 pm – “Make your own mask” with Anne Sawyer-Aitch from Minneapolis
Anne Sawyer-Aitch is a puppeteer, stilt-walker, playwright and arts educator. She will work with the kids to create their own face masks.
4:30 pm – “Intro to the Mountain Dulcimer” with Wendy Grethen–Mountain Dulcimer teacher from Duluth
Wendy will provide up to 12 mountain dulcimers for students to learn the basics of playing this American folk instrument.
